Henry's MOTAT Homework
A stopping Mechanism is worked to the max when say a car is coming down a big long hill and the car is forced to use its breaks to come to a stop (which is also stopping inertia) How it works is that when the breaking pedal is pushed down with force, the breaks roll forward with rubber or just metal on them and press against the wheels which is causing friction to make it come to a halt and the car to stop moving.
-Henry :)
Thanks Henry - yes, the moving car needs another force to slow it down and the friction caused by braking does the job!
