Tali's favourite things about camp

My favourite things we did at camp was ...

Going on the flying fox at Sonshine Ranch! It was so fun and exciting zooming over the trees and screaming!!! What made it really scary was being up so high i felt terrified but in the end i was glad I did it!
Another thing i also really enjoyed at camp was adventure land at extreme edge it was really fun and I felt like a little six year old good times!
Also at tree adventures going on course six was very challenging but a lot of fun! Expecially going on the flying fox at the end of the course!
And last but not least box night and me and my friends all put our boxes next to each other so that we could chat all night!

Ashley experience at camp

On Thursday and Friday, my friends (Lily and Jiwon) and I slept in a really humongous box. I didn't like the feeling just eating rice.

I had so much fun at tree adventure.
My favourite part was the zip line because it was funny how we would crash in to the blue mat on the tree.

Alysha's Recount

It felt so exhilarating walking along the ropes at tree adventures. Course 8 got me so pumped I was literally jumping out of my skin.  Tree surfing was so scary not holding to anything was terrifying scary. That moment was the best at tree adventures and I would definitely try course 10 next time.

My Camp thing

At camp I enjoy the Extreme edge the most  I like it the most because I just a climbing.
The most challenging is sleeping in the box because the box fell on me so it was hard to go to
sleep.

This is what I feel... by Niroj Sivarajah

Hello my fellows,

Here is a image of what I felt when I look at Extereme Edge rock climbing walls and beg the parent helpers and my teacher that I didn't want to get on the wall:

Daksh's Tiritiri Matangi experience

Wow! it was so fortunate to go on an island. It was incredible to see the nature around. Though walking was bit long but no doubt it was fantastic to know about different variety of birds and to understand their life. Actually, many of us were amazed to know about some of the birds like the grey warbler, tui, riflemen and the silver eye. The most amazing part was to match the birds we watched with the picture we were holding. it was really cool to identify those birds and follow the instruction of our guide.

Niroj's Tree Adventures and Sonshine Ranch camp recount

Hi everyone,

I had a most exciting and terrific day at Tree Adventures and Sonshine ranch! From Tree Adventures,it was so terrifyingly scary from going across the obstacles and looking down on the obstacle that I was doing and when I look at the ground...it reminded me of the ground of death!!!But I still like the Tree Adventures because I have so many parent helpers and my friends supporting me!From day 2,at Sonshine Ranch, its was very fantastically awesome because nobody got hurt and it was super safe and everything! The part that I like is the Flying Fox because whenever I get frightened of how far away the ground is and think that I might fall off. When I try to go one step down on the stairs,I keep saying to Madame Palmer and the instructor that I don't want to do it but Madame Palmer tries to convince me that I can do this and she said that she saw me jump of the step and gone on to the flying fox at Tree Adventures a bunch of times so Madame Palmer and the instructor said to me to just go one step down the stairs. The most happy thing is I got so many people to support me and I started to take a deep breath and...jumped off!And also the other side, there was Simon's mum and I yelled very loudly like this"GERONIMO!!!!!!" and jumped off!Next I went to the rope swing, when Max is gone,I tried to man myself up and I jumped off and it was REALLY FUN!!!I feel like I wanted to be a jungle boy!I would like to thank to my supporters and to my favorite beloved teacher,Madame Palmer!

Your kindest best friend

Imogen Urban camp re-post

I couldn't reach but if I just lifted my leg and jumped I could make it. It wasn't a big risk to take, the options were to jump and make it or have a go jump not make it and get a massive wedgie! Well either way I was going to end up at the bottom. So I jumped and well...I made it. The best feeling ever!

P.S I posted this before and it failed so hopefully it works this time
Hey everybody, Molly here.
This is going to be my first year playing netball for the school!!!! My friends have been playing netball since year 4, so this year I thought I should try it out!!! I'm really excited to start.

Lewis blog post

The best part of the camp was probably the extreme rock climbing day because of all the hard climbs and of the feeling of how you think you were going to fall when you are at the top but you don't fall. Also when we played tag at adventure land and all the hiding spots.

Lily's Urban Camp Experience

My favourite part of Urban Camp was Survival Night...

It was awesome arriving at the destination after a long and exhausting bus journey but when I noticed we had to sleep in the woods... D:!!!

It was really fun preparing my box for the night but it kept on falling down!

I was sooooooooooooo happy when we got picked out of the sponsors list 2 times! The 2 bars of chocolate really helped my hungry stomatch!

I really liked spotlight - it was sooooo much fun! Partly because it was really dark and also because it was in the woods and I thought I heard something wierd...

But for some reason, the best bit was falling asleep in my warm and comfortable box with my friends nearby.

AND AT THE END, I WAS LIKE:

"I"M A BORN SURVIVOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
*sarcasm included*

Joshua's urban camp post

My favorite part of urban camp was Extreme Edge because I felt I pushed myself as hard as I could to do my best. I not only climbed an overhanging wall but two, the second one I went on was grade sixteen which is very hard. When I got half way through the over hang on the second wall I felt like giving up but lots of people were encouraging me so I tried my hardest and with a little help from Frenchy I made it to the top.

Callan Urban Camp

My Highlight of Urban camp was Tree Adventures. It was my favourite activity. There were so many courses and I could go on all of them. I went on courses 1-3 before I thought it was too easy. Then, in the second half I went on courses 7,8 and 9. Number 8 was my favourite even though  I didn't get to do the long way,  and  got stuck.

Michael's Box Night

I rolled around restlessly in my cramped box, only the sound of a mosquito's buzzing to keep me company. Hot and itchy underneath the covers of my sleeping bag which only served to protect me from any bugs who may try to crawl onto me. As it soon turned out I wasn't going to be the one with the bug problems. Lying on my back desperately willing my eyes to close. A shrill scream erupted from the box next door. My head shot up. The mosquito stopped buzzing. My sleeping bag flew across my box. As chaos ensued and Ms Hemmingson  rushed across la nuit de faim to the aid of a very petrified Maycon. Together they managed to remove the spider and from then on it was a very peaceful, spider~less night.

My Not-So-Relaxing Refugee Camp

                                             EUGENE'S REFUGEE NIGHT

You guys are expecting to read a story that says "I talked with my friends and had a good night.". WRONG. The moment I got into my sleeping bag, Lewis warned me there was a slug somewhere around. Not cool. Anyway, after sellotaping my mouth so the slug won't find its way through my stomach, I tried to sleep. Emphasis on TRIED. That's when Maycon started screaming like a girl and woke everybody up. At the end we had to get Ms. Hemmingsen to get the spider out of her (yes, her, A.K.A Maycon) box. As I was about to sleep (Again, emphasis on about) Michael starts telling everyone a scary story, and for people who know me, I hate scary stories. After about an hour Michael agreed to not tell it, I finally went into a deep slumber - And awoke again at 2 AM because of Maycon's (The she-male's) snoring. Man, I thought there was a godzilla in there!

Jiwon's camp recount

It was very humid inside my box.
I made a little hole on my box to make the cold dawn wind come in to my box.
Everyone was sleeping, except for me.
The wind was cold.
I went inside my cozy sleeping bag.
Through the tiny hole, I could see the twinkling star.
I could see only one little star.
It may be because of the grand trees.

I just went to sleep with the twinkling stars, the grand trees, and the cold dawn breeze...

Lauren's moment at Sonshine Ranch

I was going toward the wheel. Creeping slowly along the wooden plank. The people in front of me had gotten across alright. Every one was leaving to get to the next activity. I put one hand on the wheel. It turns. I stop it and put my foot on. So far so good. I slowly creep across. I made it. Even if I didn't run on it and see how long it is till I fall in. I still walked across it.

Urban camp recount (Malachy's)

I was on a horse riding slowly after I was scared and unconfident. I was inexperienced but I reminded myself of the things I knew. The horse was calm and corrected anything I missed. All the horses trotted around the fenced area a few times. I got confused and a bit stressed when the horses took a turn to loop around. The horse walked slowly behind the other horses. Behind me I heard the person scared which slightly put me off but I keepted going. After a slightly scary exit off the horse I felt exhilarated.
Le nuit de farm.                   Camp de survie

On Thursday to Friday, my friends ( Lily, Jiwon) and I sleep in a really big and comfortable box but I don't like the feeling just eating rice.

Box night recount

Safely inside my box I covered myself with my sleeping bag and rolled over onto my side.               Suddenly I heard a not-so-far-away scream. 'Spider!'. I peered out of my box to see what was happening and saw a shadowy figure recoil from its box. I slid back into the recesses of my box and promptly fell asleep.

I had almost reached the top.  I looked down.  Everyone looked like tiny ants.  I had reached the top of the temple wall yay!  I was so stoked because conquering that wall was my goal.  At one stage I didn't think I would make it.  I thought I was going to slip and hurt my head.  As I came down I pushed against the wall. I was in mid-air like I was flying.  I reached the bottom with joy and walked up to the next wall with confidence.

Joyce W's box night

Box Night Survival Camp

On Thursday to Friday we had to sleep in a
box, I had a little problem getting in and out of my box
because my box was quite small, but the good thing is
I felt super warm. I didn't have any problems with
insects or spiders since I had put on insect repellent 3 times.
I had an astonishing night!

Joyce W's camp recount

On Tuesday we went to Sonshine Ranch.
The most challenging and fun thing I did was horse riding,
I found it amazing because my horse listened to everything I wanted
it to do, that horse was one of my favourites. I learnt to control and
manage riding a horse.

Jenny's camp recount

On Thursday we when to a farm to have a hunger games survival sleeping night,we had to sleep in a box it was cool but there was a giant spider in the box that scared all of us,we couldn't sleep . But after all it was fun.

Rupesh's Box Night

I really enjoyed box night even though it was a new experience for me and mostly everyone else. I got to know a lot  more people and also got to know them a bit more . What I learned from camp is plain rice tastes horrible but that sausage Ihad really made up for it. Overall Camp was very fun and new and if I had a chance to do it again I would definitely do it.

Bexs overnight camp

We stayed the night at my Aunt and Uncle's farm last night. Lucy, Molly, Tali, Matilda, Eva, Ami, Joyce Y, Joyce W and I set up our boxes in circle. The hardest part for me was eating only rice! I don't like rice and I didn't eat much of it so I was STARVING! From being on the overnight camp, it made me realize how ungrateful I am for the food and water and everything that I receive! Thanks Mr H and Madame P for organizing this all and the 'Hunger Games' idea was really cool!

Nina's camp recount

On Thursday we went to the Mead farm to stay overnight in a box, it was fun but the spiders were massive and now I hate spiders even more and that nobody helps you even though you scream. Now I know to be grateful when I get anything. The hunger games theme made it really exciting and fun. Now I learnt I hate rice with vegetable stock. Overall it was an okay box camp!

Survival Night

I absolutely loved survival night, and sleeping in a box was surprisingly comfortable! My least favourite part was all the bugs and spiders we found - the spiders were HUGE!!!!!!! The destination was absolutely beautiful and I liked being able to appreciate the smallest things; even just a squirt of tomato sauce on my rice, or a tiny little bit of sausage. My favorite part of the night was probably making new friends - like Jemima for example!! :-) Thank you Madame Palmer and Mr Heap for making an absolutely amazing camp!

Box Night

Haha, I think it was amazing how many bugs and spiders there were over the day+night. The most funny thing including creepy crawlies was when someone, not naming names *cough*Maycon*cough* totally SCREAMED when this tiny little spider was in his box it was so HILARIOUS!!! Ok Jemima OUT :-P

Jessica's Camp Recount

On Thursday we had a refugee overnight at Mead farm. We slept in boxes and ate nothing but rice*.  It was a great experience and made us appreciate what we have. The 'Hunger Games' touch also added to the excitement. Getting sponsor prizes was exciting and I ended up getting a camo cover for my box. Even though it was fun I am very tired and sore now because I fell over and my box collapsed onto me in the night.
